Benchmark Lab is built to work without collecting personal information. This page explains what happens to your data.
Tests run in your browser
All tests are processed locally in your browser. Your typing, clicks, key presses and results are not sent to our servers.
Scores and preferences
Your personal bests, recent results, favorite tests and theme choice are stored in your browser’s local storage so they are there next time. They never leave your device. You can delete them on the My Scores page or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Camera and microphone
The webcam and mic tests ask for permission through your browser. The video and audio are only displayed and analyzed on your device. They are never recorded, stored or uploaded, and stopping the test releases the device.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. It does not receive your test inputs. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. Where required, you will be asked for consent before these cookies are used.
Hosting
Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the service against abuse.
Children
Benchmark Lab does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
